The Odyssey Challenge Checklist
Tasks to complete:
- Watch a documentary about horses and write a summary.
- Learn the names of five different horse breeds and their characteristics.
- Create a horse-themed artwork or craft.
- Research and write a brief history of the domestication of horses.
- Memorize the parts of a horse's anatomy and label a diagram.
- Learn how to tie three different types of horse knots and demonstrate them. Submissions can be a video presentation or photographs.
- Design a horse-themed T-shirt or logo.
- Take a quiz on horse colors and markings.
- Find a horse-inspired recipe and practice making the recipe. Share with others if able to.
- Research and write a short summary of a famous horse in history or literature.
- Make a video tutorial on grooming a horse. It does not have to be with a real horse.
- Create a horse-themed crossword puzzle or word search.
- Learn how to properly clean and care for horse tack.
- Write a fictional story featuring a horse as the main character. This can be any page length, style or genre.
- Research and write a brief description of horse behavior and communication.
- Design and create a miniature horse obstacle course., with household items. This is only a model design (ex. shoebox size). Take a picture or video for submission.
- Learn basic horse first aid and create a first aid kit checklist.
- Research and write a guide on horse nutrition and feeding.
- Create lyrics for a horse-themed song.
- Learn about 2 different horse sports or disciplines and choose one to research and write about or create a video presentation about them.
- Create a horse-themed photo collage or social media post. Take a picture or digital image for submission.
- Research and write about a famous horse trainer or rider.
- Learn how to properly measure a horse's height and weight.
- Create a horse-themed board game or card game. Take a picture and write a summary of th game. Provide instructions on how to play
- Research and write a report on the importance of horse rescue and rehabilitation organizations. As an alternative, you can create a video presentation.
